A day aboard our ark

Story time
Storytime introduces children to the magic world of reading. Through various picture books and stories, the children are whisked away to faraway lands and taken on daring adventures, all while being instilled with a love of reading, and learning valuable morals and lessons.

Dramatic Play
The value of pretending should never be underestimated. For children, dramatic play is a crucial part of childhood development. During dramatic play, the children take on different roles and explore the world around them through the eyes of their character. Kings, queens, knights, dragons, anything is possible for a child to become! Through this act of pretending, children learn new ways to get in touch with their feelings, express themselves, and share their thoughts.

Sorting & Categorizing
Sorting and organizing things into various categories is an important developmental skill for children as it is the basis of many important math skills. Our sorting and categorizing activities allow the children to explore the world around them and practice these skills through the sorting and classifying of various objects, sounds, smells, ideas, and groups.

Arts & Crafts
Arts & Craft time allows children to let their imagination and creativity shine through. Crafts help children in learning about the colors, and honing their motor skills, all while creating their amazing masterpieces.
Group Activities
Group activities include games, circle time, and learning exercises. These activities are meant to foster friendships and instill values such as respect, sharing, and teamwork amongst the children.
Outdoor Play
Outdoor playtime allows children to get active, improve their motor skills, burn off excess energy, and enjoy the fresh air of the great outdoors!

Meals & Rest time
As important as getting active and learning are, resting and refueling are just as important! Children have designated meal and rest times in order to recharge and get their minds and bodies ready to learn. Children are given breakfast, lunch, snacks, and naptime. For our more energetic children who don’t quite feel like a nap they can enjoy some guided quiet time.
Lesson Time
While all of our activities and exercises foster learning, our lessons are focused on developing specific academic skills and lessons within the children. Lessons include the alphabet, numbers, shapes, days of the week, and telling the time.
